VISUAL STIMULATION
An assortment of photos off my trusty old SD200 for your eyeballs enjoyment.
First, some shots of the new Q100 broadcast center, about 35 feet from the old Q100 broadcast center. It faces the opposite direction, it’s a bit bigger, and we have a window with a view … which is actually a pretty cool treat given our prior view of the top of our garage and a kudzu field. Wave as you pass on by, will ya? All of these shots are from my point of view, the last one is my ’station’ where I sit and play Internet poker during the show.

I spent Sunday & Monday night at Philips Arena. First, for the NHL All-Star Game. In case you missed it on TV, you missed the Hives and the Thrasher Ice Queens presenting the line-ups and Ne-Yo (who came in for an interview today and was really, really cool) entertaining the crowd between the second and third period.

Monday night was Alanis Morissette and Matchbox Twenty. Alanis rocked. MB20 got off to a late start and I had to leave early, so I can’t give a fair review. But Alanis rocked me more than they did.

Here’s Jessica and me and a rude sea-lion from our recent trip to Ocean World, in the Dominican Republic:

Here’s my recent dinner at Five Guys Burgers, now in Sandy Springs in the plaza where Goldberg’s is. Damn, that’s a good burger. And the fries rock. And free peanuts. And Coke Zero on tap. Seriously, is this heaven? (The first Five Guys meal I had was with Clark Howard, and he bought, so you know it ain’t gonna cost you much.)

Sasha in the Great Blizzard of ‘08, showing a snowball who’s boss.

You may have heard me pimping ProFlowers.com on Q100 recently. I’m not gonna pitch something without trying it out, so I ordered some roses for my beautiful wife Jessica. The first picture is just a few hours after arrival. The second was a couple of days later. They look as good today as they did the day they arrived … if not better! If you need flowers, try ‘em. And type in JeffD after clicking the little radio microphone for a cool deal (and so I get credit for sending you their way.) This weeks deal is 2 dozen roses and a vase for $39.99. The special-deal roses are pink, red, and white. You can preorder now for Valentine’s Day, guys!

Jessica and I just got new countertops, here are they are right after their installation. New double-oven and backsplash coming soon. I think we are going to have have our cabinets painted or refaced. Ugh. Ca-ching!

Here’s Ne-Yo, in studio with us this morning. Jenn and I both look paralyzed with fear, like someone is pointing a gun at us and not a camera. I really enjoyed talking to him today, he was a cool interview.
